Biography

Prior to attending OSU, Manuk Colakyan received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Istanbul University. After completing his doctorate at OSU, he went to Union Carbide Corporation and then the Dow Chemical Company when Dow acquired UCC in 2001. He is the technical leader in the Solids Processing Group and has also served as the technical leader of the Reactor Engineering Group. He is an expert in fluidized processes and continues to apply his technical knowledge to improve production and safety of commercial processes. Manuk is active in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, having served as group chair and programming chair. He is presently serving on the board of the Particle Technology Forum.
